Kenn Starr - It's Still Real

Some new Kenn Starr that dropped a couple of days ago, but yeah, I didnt even know this was going to drop so I never posted haha. Better late than never, here is what Kenn Starr said about it:

Included are production & appearances by the likes of 9th Wonder, Kev Brown, Marco Polo, Oddisee, Raheem DeVaughn, Wale, and more.

The download also serves as a prelude to an upcoming mixtape of all new material with Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg. All of this is in preparation for the release of Kenn Starr’s upcoming album, Two Track Mind – a double EP produced by Black Milk, with remixes by Kev Brown, M-Phazes, Mr. Porter, DaveNotti and more. "And now is officially the first MC to make an album targeted at corporate suits. He's taken hiphop more mainstream than anyone before him, yes even Diddy, and in doing so made sure that everyone know it's Hov to praise."

Jon Hope "Forever (Mr. Murray Song)"

Here's some new music from the Rhode Island kid, Jon Hope, entitled "Forever (Mr. Murray song)." Says Jon of the track: "This record is an ode to the '90's era of Hip Hop and more specifically Keith Murray's classic 'The Most Beautifullest Thing'." To speak on Keith briefly, I really think dude would have been a much bigger name in hip-hop today if he could have stayed out of the pen (recidivism is a motha). Jon reps Mr. Murray to the fullest with this one. Look out for Hope's project, A Work In Progress, to drop soon.

Bun B & Talib Kweli - Don’t Die (Ft. Colin Munroe) [Prod. By Beatnick & K-Salaam]

Hand Painted By: FACE | Designed By: Mike Waxx

This is the lead single off of illRoots Album. Check it out, its presented by Beatnick and K-Salaam. Here is what they had to say about it:
"Here it is folks, the lead single for K-Salaam & Beatnick Presents Where The Streets Have No Name, powered by imeem.com and illRoots.com is finally here. After months of preparation and hard work Beatnick, K-Salaam and myself are proud to say that this is a very classic project. Paralleling similar projects before, the melodic sounds that K-Salaam & Beatnick are known for were put to the test as we couple very well known upcoming superstars with some of the most established artists ever. The project will have brand new original material over Beatnick and K-Salaam’s production from Lil’ Wayne, Bun B, Young Buck, Talib Kweli, K’Naan, Colin Munroe, Buckshot,U-N-I, Demarco, Tabi Bonney, Mikkey Halsted, Glasses Malone, Truck North and many more. Personally it was a privilege to work on this project and I hope that the months of perseverance and thought put into each track is noticed. This project will be completely free to you, our loyal audience, on July 27th. If you loved our mixtapes, you will enjoy our albums that much more."

I recorded this song no more then a few hours ago; and its a very personal record to me as an artist/person. I really haven't heard someone in the "new school" of artists on the come up really express themselves introspectively. I thought I'd might try and do something different.
