K-Salaam & Beatnick Present: NY Is Burning

I demand a K-Salaam & Beatnick appreciation moment. They are one of the best remix producers in the game, and their production/songwriting is onpoint. This specific project came out 2008 but still gets constant playtime on my Zune (yea, thats right Zunes for the win!!!). It is eaturing original music & remixes from Mos Def, Damian Marley, Dead Prez,Young Buck, Sizzla, Collie Buddz and many more. Combining Hip-Hop/Reggae/Remixes in ways no one else can.

Bun B & Talib Kweli - Don’t Die (Ft. Colin Munroe) [Prod. By Beatnick & K-Salaam]

Hand Painted By: FACE | Designed By: Mike Waxx

This is the lead single off of illRoots Album. Check it out, its presented by Beatnick and K-Salaam. Here is what they had to say about it:

"Here it is folks, the lead single for K-Salaam & Beatnick Presents Where The Streets Have No Name, powered by imeem.com and illRoots.com is finally here. After months of preparation and hard work Beatnick, K-Salaam and myself are proud to say that this is a very classic project. Paralleling similar projects before, the melodic sounds that K-Salaam & Beatnick are known for were put to the test as we couple very well known upcoming superstars with some of the most established artists ever. The project will have brand new original material over Beatnick and K-Salaam’s production from Lil’ Wayne, Bun B, Young Buck, Talib Kweli, K’Naan, Colin Munroe, Buckshot,U-N-I, Demarco, Tabi Bonney, Mikkey Halsted, Glasses Malone, Truck North and many more. Personally it was a privilege to work on this project and I hope that the months of perseverance and thought put into each track is noticed. This project will be completely free to you, our loyal audience, on July 27th. If you loved our mixtapes, you will enjoy our albums that much more."
